Lamb Shank

£7.50

Our lamb shanks are best cooked low and slow until the meat is so tender that it falls apart. Delicious when served simply with a buttery sauce and crispy roast potatoes.

This cut of lamb is best served by braising, baking or simmering in a slow cooker. The shanks are sold individually with each shank serving 1 person.

  • To cook your lamb shanks until the meat is falling off the bone, simmer for approximately 90 minutes in the sauce of your choosing and then allow the meat to rest in the sauce for another 30 minutes.
  • For a Morrocan themed dinner, try making slow-cooked lamb tagine. Not only is it extremely easy to make, but it is also a dish with wonderful depths of flavours and is packed full of fruit and vegetables.
  • If you are looking for a classic lamb dish, try lamb shanks slow cooked in a red wine sauce. It is a meal that is up to fine-dining standards but very simple to make. The tender meat melts in your mouth and accompanied by the rich wine sauce is delightful.
