A tasty economical cut, tender and full of flavour.  Sizzle for a few minutes or grill, or just as tender cooked in the oven.  A very versatile and meltingly delicious meat favoured by many chefs.

1 whole rump weighs around 275-300g and will serve 2-3 people.

  • Rub plenty of rock salt into the meat before cooking for extra flavour.
  • Garlic and rosemary are traditional favourites with lamb, serve this cut with a garlic and rosemary jus, or garlic potatoes.
  • Roast some garlic and squeeze out the flesh to layer over the rumps.
