Blade Half Shoulder of Lamb

Weight: 1.4-1.8kg

Our traditionally reared West-country shoulder of lamb with the blade is perfect for a midweek roast and lends itself to a relaxed slow cook, becoming a succulent ‘pull apart’ meat.

This meaty ‘bone in’ joint will roast a little quicker as the bone conducts the heat through the joint, and contains enough fat to keep the meat tender and juicy leading to a mouthwatering ‘melt in the mouth’ meal.

Our blade half shoulder of lamb weighs between 1.4-1.8kg and could serve 4-6 people.  Alternatively, you could keep the wonderful leftovers for yourself and enjoy it again later, cold or in a shepherd’s pie or curry.

  • Slash a crosshatch pattern into the top side of the joint and massage in a paste of oil, crushed rosemary, garlic, lots of sea salt and cracked black pepper for a mouthwatering flavour.
  • For an easy but flavoursome meal while you relax, season well and pop in the slow cooker with a selection of springtime vegetables and some stock and a splash of red wine.
  • Add some finely chopped mint or a spoonful of mint sauce for a classic timeless gravy that will delight your tastebuds.
